This piece is one in a series of three Poppy pieces. Icelandic Poppies emerged mysteriously out of the soot in Coffey Park, Santa Rosa after the Tubbs Fire of 2017. The contrast of the red against the black soot was breathtaking. Here the poppies are roaming free on a hill with fresh new grass, akin to Tabula Rasa.
